Who you’re dealing with

Aqib Scent, a small-batch perfumer based in Lahore, Pakistan. “We” and “us” below mean us; “you” means whoever is placing the order.

Using this site means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not order.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. The sale happens when we accept it and dispatch the parcel. We can decline an order — because something is out of stock, because we cannot deliver to the address, or because it looks fraudulent — and if we do, you pay nothing.

Your order number and a record of every status change are on your order page and on the tracking page.

Prices and stock

Prices are in Pakistani rupees and include any applicable tax unless the checkout says otherwise. Delivery is added at checkout, before you confirm.

Every price and every total is calculated on our servers from our own records at the moment you order. A price shown by an out-of-date page, a cached view or an edited browser is not binding — the total you are charged is the one checkout computes.

If we get a price badly wrong, we will contact you before shipping and you can confirm at the right price or cancel for a full refund. We will not quietly charge you more than you agreed.

Stock counts are live but not instantaneous. If something sells out between your order and our packing bench, we will call you and either refund that item or hold the order for the next batch — your choice.

Discount codes

Codes are subject to whatever limits are attached to them: an expiry date, a minimum spend, a total number of uses, a limit per customer, or a restriction to certain products. Checkout tells you which rule a rejected code failed. One code per order. We can withdraw a code at any time, but not retroactively — an order already placed keeps its discount.

Payment

Cash on delivery means you pay the courier when the parcel arrives. Refusing a cash on delivery parcel without telling us first means we wear the round-trip courier cost, and we may decline future cash on delivery orders from the same address.

Bank transfer orders are held until the transfer clears. Unpaid transfer orders are cancelled after seven days and the stock released.

Delivery

Delivery estimates are estimates. We control when a parcel leaves us; we do not control the courier, the weather, or a strike. We will not treat a late delivery as your problem — tell us and we will chase it — but a delay is not by itself grounds for cancelling a shipped order.

Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, that is covered under returns below, not under this clause.

Returns

An unopened bottle can be returned within seven days of delivery for a refund of the item price. An opened bottle cannot — it is a cosmetic applied to skin and cannot be resold. Damaged, leaking or incorrect items are replaced or refunded in full including delivery, and are not treated as returns.

Nothing here removes any right you have under Pakistani consumer law. Where these terms and that law disagree, the law wins.

Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.

We can suspend an account that is being used for fraud, abuse of staff, or repeated refusal of cash on delivery parcels. If we do, you can still ask for your data under our privacy policy.

Reviews and anything else you post

Reviews are moderated before they appear. We publish honest negative reviews — a shop with nothing but five stars is a shop nobody believes. We remove anything abusive, anything naming another person, and anything that is obviously not about the product.

By posting a review you give us permission to display it on the site and quote it in our own marketing, under the display name you chose.

Our content

The photography, product copy, note pyramids and the design of this site are ours. Read them, quote a line with a link back, send them to a friend. Do not lift them wholesale into another shop.

What we’re liable for

If we sell you something faulty, we fix it: replacement, or a refund, including what you paid for delivery.

Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses — a missed occasion, a lost sale, a spoiled trip.

Fragrance is applied to skin, and any ingredient can irritate someone. Patch test on the inside of your elbow if you have sensitive skin or a known allergy. Full ingredient information is on every product page and we will answer any question about it before you buy. We cannot accept liability for a reaction to an ingredient we disclosed.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. It cannot, and we would not want it to.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top tells you when this version took effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Lahore have jurisdiction over any dispute.
